NWS,LLC was a partner sponsor of the 2024 National Urban League’s Movement Champion Awards Reception on March 4th in Washington, DC. The reception was held to celebrate several of the League’s Affiliate leaders, CEOs, and auxiliary leaders for their outstanding commitment to economic empowerment, educational opportunities, and the guarantee of civil rights for the underserved in communities across America.

NWS CEO, Xavier Williams, was featured as the reception speaker and shared with the audience that NWS “operates on the values of people first, work smart, customer focus, continuous improvement, and results matter, and that’s the DNA that allows us to service our clients at a high level.” “That’s why this convening is important to remind us of the challenges that are before us and why we are obligated to be engaged and provide support to organizations like the Urban League who are leading the pursuit of a more just and inclusive society.”

The National Urban League (NUL) convened in Washington, D.C. on March 4- 6 for the inaugural Empowerment Summit, which brought together Congress members, state leaders, and community advocates nationwide. The Summit featured an Energy and Jobs session featuring Secretary of Energy, Jennifer Granholm; the State of Black America Report; and a Legislative Summit.

The National Urban League is a historic civil rights and urban advocacy organization with 90 affiliates serving 300 communities, providing direct services that impact and improve the lives of more than two million people nationwide.
