Julien Baker and Torres stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night to play a new song called “Sugar in the Tank.” Baker and Torres’ Mackenzie Scott wore embroidered Nudie Suits and performed with a full band. Scott handled electric guitar duties, while Baker played the banjo. Watch the performance below.

Baker’s song with Torres continues the artist’s collaborative streak; last year, she issued two Boygenius releases with Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus: The Record and The Rest. Scott dropped her most recent Torres LP, What an Enormous Room, earlier this year.

Tonight, Baker and Scott will be performing a concert at New Yorker’s intimate Mercury Lounge. A press release promises more news to come from the musicians in 2025.
